Restoration 1 is a leading company specializing in fire, water, and mold damage restoration. We've opened a new location in Cleveland and looking for an experienced Restoration Technician to join our team. We're looking for a hardworking and career-minded individual hungry for growth, a positive attitude and a desire to learn. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, have strong customer service skills and be interested in participating in the growth of a small business.
Position Overview
Reporting to the location Owner, the Restoration Technician supports emergency response and restoration projects to ensure the goals and needs of our customers are being met. You have meaningful previous experience in cleaning or restoration and willing to get IICRC WRT certification within an agreed upon period. You hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your work, its impact on customers, team mates and your company.
Responsibilities:
- Work on job sites providing services such as:
- Water pumping and extraction
- Mold remediation
- Selective demolition as required to accommodate the drying process
- Setting drying equipment
- Creating. drying plan and moisture mapping affected areas, inclusive of temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content readings
- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Ensure job site and vehicle are cleaned and restocked at end of shift
- Maintaining equipment, uniform and overall cleanliness
- Practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe, clean and non-cluttered worksite
- Ensure attention to detail in documentation and care for customers property
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment
- Complete all Restoration 1 sponsored training courses in-person or virtually
- Pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in cleaning or restoration, including moisture readings and thorough documentation of the process
- IICRC WRT certification preferred, or willingness to be certified within an agreed upon period
- High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
- Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
- Availability to work 40+ hours per week, including on-call rotation, after hours, and 24/7 availability as needed
